MIRAMAR, FL — Popular South Florida social media influencer Brianna Johnson, known to hundreds of thousands online as “DreamDoll Brii” and “ItGirlBri,” was killed in a brazen drive-by shooting early Sunday morning. She was 21 years old.
The targeted attack, which left two other men critically injured, occurred during the July 4th holiday weekend and ended with the victims’ luxury SUV crashing into a residential home
The Timeline of the Attack
According to the Miramar Police Department, the shooting unfolded at approximately 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of Southwest 27th Court and Sunshine Boulevard.
- The Prelude: Family members confirmed that Johnson and two male companions had attended a large party earlier in the night. Surveillance footage and witness reports indicate the trio later stopped at a nearby Shell gas station, where a physical altercation reportedly broke out.
- The Ambush: The victims were traveling westbound in a lime green Lamborghini Urus. As they approached an intersection, a white sedan pulled alongside the driver’s side of the luxury SUV.
- The Shooting: The occupants of the white sedan opened fire, discharging a heavy burst of rounds into the Lamborghini. Multiple ShotSpotter alerts were triggered in the area, though several neighbors told local news outlets they initially mistook the gunfire for holiday fireworks.
- The Crash: Following the rapid gunfire, surveillance video captured the Lamborghini drifting through a stop sign before the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled across the street and crashed into a nearby property.
The suspect’s white sedan was seen speeding away immediately after the shooting.
The Victims
Emergency responders transported all three occupants of the Lamborghini to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition. Johnson ultimately succumbed to her gunshot wounds. The two male passengers survived the initial attack and remain hospitalized; authorities have not yet released their identities or updated medical conditions.
What Authorities Are Saying
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss has stated that investigators firmly believe this was a targeted attack on the vehicle and its occupants, rather than a random act of violence.
Detectives are currently reviewing the surveillance footage that shows the light-colored sedan trailing the Lamborghini moments before the ambush. The police have not yet named any suspects or confirmed if the prior altercation at the gas station is directly linked to the shooting.
