LONDON / LOS ANGELES — Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has spoken out following a bombshell investigative report revealing that her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., is facing a police investigation over alleged possession of a massive collection of child sexual abuse images.

Meghan’s Revelation: “To Protect Them”

“I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them,” Meghan stated.
The Duchess shares two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with Prince Harry.
While noting that the scope of what has now come to light is “more sickening than one could ever imagine,” Meghan emphasized her faith in the justice system. “My sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served and that the priority remains the safety and protection of innocent children”.
