SILVERSTONE, UK — Nigerian-American racing sensation Ugo Ugochukwu has etched his name into the motorsport history books following an absolute masterclass at the Silverstone Sprint Race.
Driving for Campos Racing, the 18-year-old phenom delivered a performance for the ages, crossing the finish line a staggering 17.023 seconds ahead of his closest rival. This astonishing gap officially stands as the largest winning margin ever recorded in the history of the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
From lights out to the checkered flag, Ugochukwu was in a league of his own. He led every single lap of the race and secured the fastest lap, completing a flawless weekend at one of the world’s most iconic and demanding circuits.
With this historic triumph, Ugochukwu becomes the first driver to secure two race victories in the highly competitive 2026 FIA Formula 3 season. The win allowed him to comfortably outpace runner-up Yevan David and his Campos Racing teammate, Théophile Naël, who rounded out the podium in third.
Most importantly, the record-breaking victory significantly extends Ugochukwu’s lead in the 2026 championship standings, putting him in prime position as the season progresses.
Widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents on the junior single-seater ladder, the Nigerian-American driver is rapidly establishing himself as a formidable force. As he continues to deliver unmatched pace and race craft, Ugochukwu’s ultimate road to Formula 1 looks clearer—and faster—than ever.
