A Special Report by ABT NEWS | www.abtnews.net
Renowned political economist and former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi, has left many people completely speechless with a spine-chilling testimony of his ultimate triumph over the grave. In a sensational revelation, the septuagenarian narrated how he literally cheated death 35 years ago after being declared totally lifeless by medical professionals.
The Bloodbath in Asaba
Taking to Facebook to share the haunting details, Utomi recounted the tragic events of July 12, 1991.
- The Crash: As dusk was falling near Asaba, his vehicle collided terribly with a parked trailer, sliding right underneath it in a devastating smash that was compounded by another car hitting them from behind.
- A Tragic Loss: The ghastly accident claimed the life of his driver on the spot.
Declared Dead at Boromeo Hospital
The story took a terrifying turn when a lifeless Utomi was rushed to Boromeo Hospital in Onitsha.
- “We Have Lost Him”: Doctors firmly told the Chief of Surgery that the professor was gone, confirming that he had absolutely no pulse and had stopped breathing.
- A Surgeon’s Stubborn Faith: Miraculously, the surgeon outright refused to give up. Insisting on fighting on to “fulfill all righteousness,” the medical team pushed forward.
- Back to Life: Against every conceivable medical expectation, Utomi was found to be alive and was immediately wheeled into a grueling surgery to stop massive internal bleeding, a procedure where parts of his inside had to be resected.
Escaping the 7/7 London Terror Attacks
If returning from the dead wasn’t miraculous enough, the esteemed professor revealed yet another hair-raising escape! Years later, Utomi found himself caught in the terrifying crosshairs of the infamous July 7, 2005 (7/7) terrorist attacks on London’s public transport system.
- A Close Shave with Terror: During the coordinated suicide bombings that brutally claimed 52 civilian lives and injured roughly 700 people, Utomi was right in the thick of the carnage.
- Surviving the Blast: He recounted how a man rushed past him just moments before an explosion went off, prompting Utomi to dive to the floor amidst the screams of dying victims.
A Legacy of Gratitude
Reflecting on a life that has defied the Grim Reaper time and time again, Prof. Utomi declared that July will forever remain a month of non-stop thanksgiving for him and his family.
“Looking back at it all, one thing is certain: if God is with you, you have everything. Gratitude to my Maker.” — Prof. Pat Utomi
