Therefore, if filmmakers use AI tools in other capacities, the Academy stated that such tools “neither help nor harm the chances of achieving a nomination.”
But make no mistake, the Oscars are watching closely! The Academy issued a stern warning: they will relentlessly judge achievements based on the degree to which a human was at the heart of the creative authorship. If any questions arise, the Academy “reserves the right to request more information about the nature of the use and human authorship.”
