Popular Nigerian relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing CEO, whose real name is Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to the EFCC, the influencer is facing a two-count charge bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and stealing involving ₦36 million linked to a Lekki property transaction. Prosecutors alleged the money was collected under the promise of securing a six-bedroom duplex in Lagos.
During the court proceedings, Blessing CEO pleaded NOT GUILTY to all charges. Her lawyer reportedly informed the court that ₦24 million had already been refunded to the complainant, while discussions were ongoing concerning the remaining balance.
However, the EFCC maintained that criminal proceedings would continue regardless of any private settlement between parties. The court subsequently ordered that she be remanded in EFCC custody pending her bail hearing and trial.
Blessing CEO is widely known online for her bold relationship advice, celebrity interviews, controversial opinions, and viral social media presence. Over the years, she has remained one of Nigeria’s most talked-about internet personalities, frequently trending for both her lifestyle content and public feuds.
Now, social media is buzzing again, but this time, over a courtroom battle that could seriously impact her public image and brand.
Social media users are already divided:
Some believe she deserves fair hearing and due process.
Others say influencers should be more accountable when handling business deals and public trust.
The case has been adjourned to June 5, 2026, for continuation of trial proceedings.
